The objectives of our project are:

  1. To collect information, exchange knowledge and transfer the experiences about the present stage of the educational approaches and good practices on dealing with ESL in secondary school education.
  2. To identify, test and improve (when necessary) the types of teaching techniques for formal and non-formal secondary student learning, used by European and other organizations.
  3. To promote healthy lifestyles through outdoor activities and activities offering practical entrepreneurial experiences to bring students closer to nature and a healthy lifestyle, as a means for getting in touch with young Europeans from different cultures, backgrounds and abilities.
  1. To build a sense of student achievement, especially for those at risk of ESL, through adaptations involving basic language and ICT skills in school curricula.
  2. To document the current state of affairs as far as ESL is concerned in the partner organizations and, if deemed necessary, to plan, implement, and evaluate interventions aiming to establish a more positive and productive school climate.
  3. To strengthen the professional profile of the school staff and promote young students’ professional prospects in the field of ICT.
  4. To inform parents and local community services about ESL and engage them in project activities that fall within their field of responsibility.
  5. To submit a written proposal to each country's decision makers with the results, conclusions, and proposed modifications pertaining to in-curriculum and extra- curriculum issues.
  6. To facilitate cross-country cooperation aiming to produce educational material (e.g. "ESL Guidebook – Activities for all”, eTwinniners in action: “Our school garden” etc), which as will be freely available on the internet and could be used as a resource material by secondary educators dealing with the ESL problem. It will contain all the main points drawn from project activities as well as recommended teaching activities with easy instructions on how to customize them to meet different school needs. The “ESL Guidebook – Activities for all” will be compiled in English and translated into each partners’ language as well.
